I admit that at one time not so long ago I could not spell (or even pronounce charcuterie).
These boards became popular a few years ago and my friend Amy has a real talent for walking into a party with one that looks professional. Evidently, our very own HEB has amazing cheeses & pickles that are as pretty as they are delicious, but I am overwhelmed when I shop for them.
On Sunday, Oct. 3, from 3-5 p.m., the Make It Pretty Cooking Charcuterie Board workshop will happen at Club Sienna, and I think I will register and see if I can learn to arrange the board the way Amy does. The real plus is the registration fee includes all the supplies and ingredients needed to feed six to eight people. We can even bring in our favorite wine to sip on while we learn. In addition, each participant will receive a jar of locally harvested honey, and there will also be a giveaway at the end. I’m going to love it if I walk into a happy hour in the future with a board that my friends think I ordered from somewhere!
