Christmas Star
December 11, 2020

Jupiter and Saturn will soon be closer together than they’ve been since 1623 (and closest observable since 1226). We are being told that these two planets will look like two points of light that form a star and that it may resemble the star of Bethlehem that the shepherds saw 2,000 years ago. The best time to see this will be on December 21st just after sunset, although you will be able to see it for several days if you know where to look. Speaking of where to look, I read that we need to face Southwest so I will be searching for a compass on the 21st. I also found it interesting that this is taking place on the first official day of winter for the northern hemisphere.
