Ride the Bollywood Express for Sewa International
February 05, 2018

Take a musical journey through Bollywood during a concert benefitting the humanitarian relief efforts of Sewa International Saturday, Feb. 24, at 7 p.m.

Sienna Plantation is sponsoring the Rhythm of Dreams 3rd annual Concert for a Cause, “Bollywood Express,” which takes place at the Stafford Center, 1415 Constitution Ave.

Rhythm of Dreams combines live music with DJ, Hindi, Gujarati and Bollywood music. Each year they hold a benefit concert to raise funds for and awareness of a different charity. Last year’s concert benefitting United Against Human Trafficking raised more than $12,000.

This year, the concert will benefit Sewa International. The Hindu faith-based humanitarian organization undertakes disaster rescue, relief and rehabilitation projects as well as providing family services; child, tribal and refugee welfare; women empowerment; health; and education programs. Started in India, the organization is active in 20 countries including the United States, Colombia, Guyana, India, Kenya, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Volunteers of the organization provided much-needed relief in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.

Tickets are $10-$25 and can be purchased online; $5 of each ticket sold will benefit Sewa.
