The quick pace of home sales and construction in Sienna Plantation has landed the community at No. 2 on Houston Business Journal’s list of the Most Active Houston-Area Communities.
Sienna Plantation was one of six Johnson Development projects to be included on the tally, which was compiled based on annual new home starts for the 12-month period ending in September. Sienna builders started 394 homes in the community during that timeframe.
Other Johnson communities on the 25-count list were Riverstone, No. 1; Woodforest, No. 4; Cross Creek Ranch, No. 6; Harvest Green, No. 8; and Harmony, No. 11. Johnson Development had more listed communities than any other developer.
Fourteen well-regarded builders offer homes priced from the $270,000s to more than $1 million in Sienna Plantation. Much of the new-home activity has been in the Village of Sawmill Lake, Sienna’s newest. In addition to homes, crews also are busy constructing two new Fort Bend ISD schools and a large-scale recreation complex, Sawmill Lake Club.
