Browse booths overflowing with farm-fresh produce at Sienna Plantation’s first Community Farmers Market, Sunday, Oct. 30.
The master-planned community will host the event in partnership with resident owners of SweetNes Honey, a local supplier of raw honey, at the train depot parking lot near the amphitheater, 9600 Scanlan Trace, from 1-5 p.m. The event is open to the public.
The October market is a trial run for Sienna, with regular markets possibly starting in 2017.
Farmers slated to hawk their locally-grown fruits and vegetable include Peas Farm, Frobergs Farms, Atkinson Farms and and Blessington Farms. Buyers can choose meats from Shriner Pork and Bison Meat Guy to pair with the produce, rounding the meal out with a loaf of bread from Great Harvest Bread Company.
Other vendors include SweetNes Honey Beetique, Paws Gourmet Dog Treats, F.I.T. Brine, Young Living Essential Oils, Texas Olive Ranch, Little Shop of Wreaths and Bean Here Coffee and more.
Families also will enjoy live music, balloons and treats from the Oddball Eats and Kona Ice food trucks and Popcorn Creations.
