Back-to-School Fun at Heritage Rose Elementary
August 27, 2015

Heritage Rose Elementary students and their parents had the chance to clown around with staff at the school recently during a Meet the Teachers and Administrators event sponsored by Sienna Plantation.

New principal Lavanta Williams, also Fort Bend ISD’s 2015 Elementary Principal of the Year, and new assistant principal Tommy Bellard donned clown outfits to welcome the many attendees. Teachers also joined in on the fun.

“What a great way to relieve anxieties these young children may have about starting school and having new administrators and staff members,” said Alvin San Miguel, general manager of Sienna Plantation. “It was fun to see the children’s excitement. This was a perfect launch into what looks to be a very successful school year.”

Families enjoyed free hot dogs, games and other activities. Plus, one lucky student took home a free backpack filled with school supplies.

Heritage Rose Elementary is one of four elementaries serving young Sienna Plantation students. All four schools, plus the two middle schools and one high school also zoned to the development, received a Met Standard rating in the recently released Texas Education Agency’s accountability reports. Met Standard is the highest rating awarded by the Texas Education Agency.
