The Harvest hosts Virtual VBS
July 28, 2020

The Harvest United Methodist church here in Sienna always has the best Vacation Bible school of the summer.  I’m not being biased because I love my church either- I hear this from neighbors that attend other churches.   I read back in May that they were concerned they might not be able to have VBS this July due to Covid.   Some amazing ladies went to work and decided not having it was just not an option.  Especially since so many kids were already tired of being stuck at home without friends- this years VBS was going to be needed more than ever.   They put together a Virtual VBS that was a big hit.  The theme was “Concrete & Crains: Building on the love of Jesus”.  They had 186 kids register & participate.  I talked to two families who admitted they’d been less than excited to hear it was virtual but both said their kiddos really did get into it & enjoy it.  I miss being at church on Sundays but am thankful for the technology that allows us to attend virtually & am so happy these kids got to have VBS!
