The two-story campus provides a culture and environment where all students and staff learn with pride, lead with confidence and inspire to impact lives. Extended day programs and “No Place for Hate” guidelines foster a supportive and safe environment before, during, and after school. Students can also explore reading, computer coding and art through campus organizations.

Alyssa Ferguson Elementary School — FBISD’s 54th elementary — is slated to open in Sienna during 2023. The school is named after a Ridge Point High School student who passed away in 2017 at age 15 after a three-year battle with medulloblastoma, a cancerous brain tumor. Quail Valley Elementary School Principal Carla Patton will serve as principal of the new Ferguson Elementary, Sienna’s eighth onsite school.
Our students are terrific multitaskers, shifting easily between competitive sports and artistic endeavors, while simultaneously maintaining high academic standards. The school also boasts state-of-the-art technology and a special “Gateway to Technology” elective, a high school credit course where students explore engineering and robotics.
High expectations coupled with an emphasis on character development prepares students to be the leaders of tomorrow. Our staff is committed to developing the individual strengths of students and are experts in addressing the unique needs of early adolescents. Many of the staff have been with the school for nine or more years, with teachers boasting an average of 12 years of experience.
PRIDE defines the core beliefs at Thornton Middle School, which opened August 2018 in Sienna. The five guiding principles include: people and relationships matter, respect in all we do, inclusion is a priority, diversity is our strength and effort fuels our growth. It is this empowering vision that helps Thornton students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
A powerhouse, offering rigorous academic and extra-curricular programs designed to prepare students for a successful, productive future. In addition to a traditional high school experience, two Career Academies offer students concentrated studies in medical science and digital media. These focused programs readily prepare students for entry-level positions and/or college.
The “home of scholars and champions,” a focus on work ethic coupled with value and integrity drives students to excel no matter what the challenge. The Panthers have won an impressive number of awards and accolades, earning state or national championship titles in swimming, track, band, and the academic Destination Imagination competition, as well as many regional and local honors.
