Summer is just around the corner and camps that will have your kiddos making friends, get moving and having fun are already filling up. Don’t let your kids miss out on these innovative camps being held this June:
Future quarterbacks and linebackers will have fun learning the game at the Sienna Strong Football Camp June 12-15. The camp is geared toward third- through eighth-grade players who will work on developing footwork, agility and proper form. The session meets from 9-11:30 a.m. at Camp Sienna, 9600 Scanlan Trace. The cost is $118.
A series of Fitness and Fun camps will get kids moving with daily drills focused on agility, coordination and balance. The final 30-45 minutes of each day will be devoted to organized sports activities such as basketball and indoor baseball. There will be two sessions for kids entering grades three through eight. Session 1 takes place June 19-22 at Sienna Lutheran Academy, 770 Waters Lake Blvd., and Session 2 happens June 26-29 at Camp Sienna. Both camps will take place from 9-11:30 a.m. The cost is $102.
Children also have an opportunity to challenge themselves at Camp Nice Strength and Conditioning Summer Camp. Each day will focus on a different aspect of fitness and endurance through agility training, bodyweight exercise and other physical activities.
Both sessions are for grades three through eight and take place at Camp Sienna from 9-11:30 a.m. Session 1 runs June 19-22 and Session 2 runs from June 26-29. Camps are $102.
The “Three-Day Summer Camp,” June 26-28, will focus on painting superheroes, horses and peace signs. The camp is for children ages 6-12 and takes place at Club Sienna, 9600 Scanlan Trace, from 1-3 p.m. The cost is $126 and all supplies are included.
Young engineers and scientists will enjoy designing rubber band racecars, pulley systems, and rollercoasters at a camp created specifically for them. Two camps will be offered. Children ages 4-7 will attend camp from 9 a.m. to noon. Older kids ages 8 -12 will attend from 1-4 p.m. Camps are June 19-23 at Club Sienna and the cost is $180.
