Décor fashionistas, the wait is over! Houston’s Largest Home Tour is returning this April and it’s going to be bigger, better and more fun than ever.
The home tour features more than 150 model homes — many of them new — in communities throughout Houston. The lavishly decorated homes are packed with thousands of design ideas that will spur DIY-ers to try their hand at new textures, colors and techniques. Those not quite so crafty will enjoy touring hundreds of well-appointed inventory homes available for immediate move-in.
The public has five opportunities to see what resident life is like in Sienna Plantation, starting with an Earth Day Celebration Saturday, April 8. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., visitors can help plant seeds, parade on bikes, learn about Texas reptiles and more. Three events happen Saturday, April 22. First up is the Doggone Fun Run 5K or 1K at 8 a.m. followed by the annual Canine Carnival 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors can take a break from the “pawsome” fun during the Canine Carnival to enjoy a Kickin’ Crawfish Picnic noon to 3 p.m. Tickets for the picnic can be purchased here. Simply “Browse,” click on “Sienna Plantation” and then “Events & Trips.” Cost is $20.
On Sunday, April 23, the public can shop fresh produce and other foodie goodies during the monthly farmers market, 1-5 p.m. at the Sienna Amphitheater train depot, 9600 Scanlan Trace.
Finally, the home tour fun ends with a run April 29 during the Sienna Texas 10, featuring 10-mile, 5-mile, 5K and 1-mile fun run events.
