Mobile food connoisseurs’ taste buds have a final opportunity to be titillated as Sienna Plantation’s Food Truck Fridays come to a close Sept. 30.
The weekly food fest concludes its tour of traveling treats from 4-8 p.m. at the Sawmill Lake model home park, 9815 Cameron Way, with menu items ranging from the wholesomely healthy to the decadently delicious.
For vegans, hipsters and those just attracted to a plant-based diet, Ripe Cuisine will serve up its signature brand of locally sourced entrees, including their Spicy Thai Peanut Butter sandwich and the Krabby Patty, a house made jackfruit-artichoke ‘krab’cake burger. Gluten-free options are available.
Plenty of comfort food will be available with fried chicken sandwiches from Skratch Food Truck and German-style bratwurst and schnitzel sandwiches from the Sauerkraut Food Truck.
Taco fans can enjoy traditional street tacos and quesadillas courtesy of Tiles Taco Truck — or step-out of their comfort zone and enjoy Savor the Bites’ savory blend of Asian-Latin cuisine with crispy soft shell crab tacos topped with avocado and mango pico de gallo.
For dessert, Mary Had a Little Party’s mobile soda shop is sure to please with hand-dipped ice cream, banana splits and frosty milk shakes.
The event is open to the public and the menu du jour includes music, family activities and a chance to meet up with friends and neighbors for a final fall feast.
