Project Walk Fun Run and Roll Returns to Sienna Sept. 17

Racers will be running and rolling along Sienna Plantation streets Saturday, Sept. 17, during the second annual Project Walk Fun Run and Roll.

The race kicks off at Ridge Point High School, 500 Waters Lake Blvd. Same-day registration begins at 6 a.m., with the race starting at 7 a.m. After the run, finishers and supporters can enjoy food, music and family activities at the post-race party.

Handcycle and 10K online registration is $40, the 5K race fee is $30 and the kids’ 1-mile race costs $20. Teams of five or more receive $5 off their registration fees. Online pre-registration is available until 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at

All proceeds benefit the Project Walk Foundation, which provides scholarships for a full year of treatment at Project Walk. The event was founded by Sienna residents Mark and Cindy Dremely, whose late son, Brooks, suffered a cervical injury caused by a motocross accident.
