Sienna Plantation Ranks No. 5 on List of Most Active Communities
July 05, 2016

Sienna Plantation continues to be a favorite with homebuyers, placing in the top five on a list of the 25 most active master-planned communities in the Houston area.

Housing market researcher Metrostudy analyzed 2015 data for housing starts — the number of homes builders started in a community — to compile the list. Sienna Plantation ranked No. 5 with 376 construction starts.

The Fort Bend community joined three other projects in the Johnson Development Corp. portfolio. Sienna’s sister community, Riverstone, maintained its status as the most active community in the Houston area with 692 starts last year. Woodforest in Montgomery County had 409 starts, giving it a No. 4 ranking. Fulshear’s Cross Creek Ranch was No. 6 with 346 starts. Out of the 7,366 housing starts credited to the top 25 communities, Johnson Development projects accounted for 25 percent.

Considered one of the nation’s top-selling master-planned communities in 2015, according to the John Burns Real Estate Consulting Group, Sienna Plantation provides a distinctive lifestyle within closely knit neighborhoods. The community’s newest collection of neighborhoods, the Village of Sawmill Lake, opened last year with an array of home designs priced from the $280,000s. All Sienna residents enjoy world-class amenities such as water parks, playgrounds, lakes, tennis courts and access to Sienna Plantation Golf Club. Camp Sienna, a 160-acre sports park, offers baseball and soccer fields, league sports and a concession stand, as well as basketball and volleyball courts for residents to enjoy.
