Sienna Completes Massive Fitness Center Expansion

March 07, 2016

Nearly 11 years after it first opened, Sienna Plantation’s Brushy Lake Fitness Center has received a major upgrade, making it one of the largest exercise facilities offered by a Houston-area master-planned community.

The on-site facility expanded by approximately 2,300 square feet, bringing the entire center to nearly 8,300 square feet. Included in that expansion is the addition of 41 pieces of cardio and machine weight equipment, giving residents their choice of 63 pieces of strength training and aerobics machines.

“With the 3,700-acre Village of Sawmill Lake celebrating its grand opening last year, expanding our popular fitness center was a logical decision,” said Sandy Denton, general manager of the Sienna Plantation Associations. “And the indoor fitness facilities are expected to expand again with a new recreational facility planned for Sawmill Lake that is proposed to have a weight room and fitness classroom.”

The Brushy Lake Fitness Center also includes a larger area for free weights and stretching, a renovated classroom for exercise classes and a child care room. The contractor for the expansion was Regas Contracting.

Reserved exclusively for residents of Sienna Plantation, Brushy Lake Fitness Center is open daily 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. Dozens of classes are held there weekly and personal trainers are available for one-on-one coaching.

The Brushy Lakes Fitness Center is one of a multitude of amenities enjoyed by Sienna residents. Located on-site are three water parks, the 160-acre Camp Sienna sports park, more than 100 acres of parks and playgrounds, miles of trails and the Sienna Plantation Golf Club.
