We have some little gems in Fort Bend County that some residents may not be aware of. The George Conservatory is located in Brazos State Park, and it’s a satellite facility of the Houston Museum of Natural Science. It houses three domed telescopes. If you are a family who likes to stargaze, you’ll be happy to know they have a 36-inch Gueymard Research telescope that is one of the largest in the United States. Looking through this lens, you’ll be able to clearly see the Milky Way and Saturn’s rings. If you’d like to learn more about the galaxy, they offer astronomy classes on a regular basis. The conservatory just underwent a huge renovation, so this is the perfect time to go take a peek. You can read more details at www.hmns.org.
