Mamas’s Cafe & Brews is open at 8027 Highway 6 in the Oyster Creek Place Center. They serve up Southern-style, Cajun creole and fresh seafood dishes.
It was suggested that I try the Stuffed Shrimp Poppers or the Bourbon Baked Meat Balls. They also have a Smoked Salmon Salad that looks delicious.
They are a true neighborhood restaurant and bar with an indoor main dining room, 26 feet of bartop seating and a covered outdoor patio with an area for kids. There will be live music, sports on TVs and special events in the future. They serve 16 beers on tap along with calls, wells and wine.
They have great happy hour prices, too. Mondays through Thursdays from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. you can get $4 domestic draft beer and bottles of wine at just $25. After brunch on Sundays, you can get $20 buckets of beer and ‘ritas for just $7. We all get so excited when a new place opens close to home, and I think this one will become a favorite of many.
