Fort Bend Family Promise Talk on April 30
April 28, 2022

People are often shocked to learn about the number of homeless families in Fort Bend County. There are between 6,000 and 9,000 homeless in our county in any given year.

Homelessness can happen from job loss, illness, injury, foreclosure, divorce and natural disaster. Fort Bend Family Promise mobilizes an interfaith network of local congregations to help families regain their housing, independence and their dignity.  They utilize church facilities and committed volunteers to provide safe overnight shelter, meals and support one week at a time. Fort Bend Family Promise also partners with other agencies to help clients with complex problems and works hard to help meet immediate needs.

There will be a talk given on episodic homelessness on April 30th at 10 a.m. and you can read the details on it, as well as other upcoming important events, at
