I’ve always cared deeply for the kids who live at the Fort Bend Women’s Shelter.
The shelter is a safe haven for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. This is a temporary home for these children and the reason why they are there is probably very traumatic. Living here might be embarrassing to them should someone find out. They may not have all the things they had back at home. The start of a new school year bring should bring excitement, especially after so many kids did not get to be with their friends last year face-to-face.
The FBWC always tries hard to provide a great start to the school year for the kids living there, and this year that was especially true. Measure Up 4 Kids is a campaign that makes it possible for the children in the program to have the support they need. They receive school supplies, help with homework, after-school care and emotional support. If you’d like to donate time or money to this cause, please visit .
