The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced that it will invest more than $4 million toward fresh water infrastructure in our county. The USDA stated that that this funding will improve rural water infrastructure for thousands of residents, as well as improve the safety and reliability of the water system in the rural areas of the county. In addition, improvements will benefit the hospitals, as well as the schools within Fort Bend. Two water production facilities and two control buildings will be constructed. It is also predicted that residents in the Rio Brazos area will see an improvement in drainage with these enhancements.
